I bought this tv (46′ inch, LED) at Amazon.com as I moved into my first home. I wanted the best tv I could find (without buying a 3D TV). I lucked out when this tv went on sale ($1,889 with $400 back in Amazon gift cards, net $1,489). I am hanging it on the wall and it looks spectacular. The colors are so true and the picture so crisp that people are amazed at what they see. The 120 mHz really changes how you watch shows although I have had some negative feedback from that standpoint. Some have said it makes all shows look like soap operas, although I think it’s an improvement from the former 60 mHz tv’s.
One other negative, if you turn the lights down in the room the tv actually adjusts to this and darkens the tv, something that I did not like during the NBA Finals. If you have a very dark room you might want to think about another tv, although maybe you can change the presets to offset this (I have not fiddled with these yet).
All in all it’s an amazing tv and one well worth the money and I would definitely tell my friends to buy the same…(Click to see more…)

Panasonic TC-P58VT25 58-inch 3D Ready 1080p VIERA Plasma HDTV

I’ve owned this 58VT25 for a few weeks now. HDTV broadcasts and Blu-ray video are just amazing, not to mention the very excellent 3D seen from Direct TV broadcasts. And by the way .. There are no grayish backgrounds where one would expect black. On this TV, blacks are BLACK. Also, on mine, there isn’t any, “buzz” (someone here reported hearing a buzz) or any sound other than program content regardless of how close I get to the TV. If there was, I would call Panasonic’s repair service.
One thing I learned early on is, don’t mess with the color adjustments on this TV right off the bat; wait a few days for the TV to stabilize then adjust if you feel the need. The color realism on this TV is extraordinary. Being typically an early adapter, I’ve owned a few other plasma TVs. My gripe with my earlier Panasonics is .. I could never get the reds quite right (leaned toward crimson), and there always seemed to be just the slightest greenish hew. Yes .. I’m picky .. kind of a perfectionist I guess.
The reason for my having owned several TVs over the recent past is because those before never seemed quite right. This one though is a keeper. If there’s any gripe at all it’s with watching non-HDTV broadcasts. They look great, but I think they looked even better on the TV I replaced this one with. But broadcasters are all switching over to HD so that little complaint will never cause me to continue in my early adapter ways. This one, I’m sure, will stay in my house until one of us passes away (I’m a few years into retirement).

I bought this erector set for my son for Christmas. He just turned five years old and loves to build. He had to have help reading the instruction booklet and needed help to put it together. I think he will catch on and be able to construct by himself once he gets a little older. He was very excited to make the four-wheeler and asked when he could make another. It is a good toy and seems to hold up well other than the little “headlights” fall out easily. We are happy that we made this purchase and it was cheaper on Amazon than in the catalog I had found the product in.
This is a great toy for our 4 year old. However, they could have supplied extra screws and nuts in case they get lost. My son built the ATV right out of the box and used every single screw and nut. This is bad since they work themselves loose and fall off if he plays with it for very long. We have to be extra vigilant to keep an eye on the parts. As another post said, the headlight eyes pop off all of the time, so much that we just remove them and put them away. Other than those issues, it’s a good learning toy.

Gold’s Gym Dance Workout
I’ve seen a couple reviews already that say this game isn’t for people who aren’t already in shape, or who are uncoordinated, etc., etc. I have to disagree. I’m a fat girl who can’t dance, and I’m loving it!
To give you my perspective, I’ve taken some dance classes in my life, though not Latin-style dances. And I’m a good 100 pounds overweight, so to say that I’m out of shape is an understatement. I use the Wii Fit every so often, and while I love it for the yoga stretches, I really wanted to incorporate more cardio than the Wii Fit offers. I saw this game advertised back in June and have been looking forward to it ever since. I bought it yesterday and have played it twice. And I REALLY like it a lot.
Yes, the tutorials are quick, and I almost fell over doing the grapevine. But the second time I tried it I got a little better, and I suspect that the third, fourth and fifth times I try it I’ll get better too. It really feels like an exercise class, where you may not get the steps right away, but if you keep showing up you will. But instead of embarrassing myself in public, I get to flail around in my living room instead and startle the dog (he didn’t like me doing the samba and started barking at me).
I like the Personal Trainer option, where I can tell it just how out of shape I am, and then it starts me off on a three-day program of short workouts that still get me sweating. It’s a start, I figure, and I bet as I get better, the game will make the workouts longer and more challenging.
I really get the feeling that this game is meant to be fun more than anything else, and so far I’m really enjoying it. Give it a try!

Received the Garmin 3790T four days ago. I upgraded from a from a Garmin Nuvi 760. My first comment is Wow! The size and physical design of this beauty is amazing. That’s the same word that comes out of most people mouth’s when I show them my new toy. Physical beauty aside this new unit really is a huge step up from my 760.
The 800 x 480 pixel glass screen is incredibly clear and a huge enhance over my old unit. The multi-point screen works great. Everything about the “garmin nuvi 3790t” is an improvement from the old 760.
One interesting point is the garmin nuvi 3790t picks slightly different routes than the 760 used to. I assume this is the nuRoute/trafficTrends in action.
Hands down my favorite feature on the garmin nuvi 3790t is Voice Command. When I originally bought this item I had concerns about how well this feature would work. Let me tell you it works great. I can navigate to some place, add stops or phone someone without ever having to pull over or take my hands off the wheel. What a huge safety improvement.
Another seemingly small item they improved that I really like is the zooming. The map zooms in as you slow down and out as you speed up. It does it very smoothly and provides the perfect amount of data for my tastes.
The traffic data is also very useful in urban areas and well presented. However this area contains my only complaint about the product. Using the traffic feature causes small little adds to occasionally pop up on the screen. They are unobtrusive and don’t happen very often so far but I would prefer to find a way to turn them off.
All in all I love my new Nuvi. It is one of the best purchases I’ve made in years…(Click to see more…)
