Durability: (what this means)
The Good: Full of fun phrases and hilarious actions
The Bad: Doesn't work so well on carpet
In a Nutshell: Cute, huggable toy, great for young children | At a Glance Ages: 1-1/2 years and up Requires: 6 AA batteries (included) | | | Meet T.M.X. Ernie Part of the new Tickle Me Extreme friends, Tickle Me Ernie is every bit as charming and fun as his popular friend, T.M.X. Elmo. When you touch his belly, this plush 11-inch doll falls backwards and giggles as he spins in a full circle. He even gets back up on his own! Dressed in his signature striped sweater and red shoes, this Ernie doll is soft, huggable, and a great toy for young children. He comes packaged in a cute cardboard carrying case with a handle at the top and a cutout to poke his ticklish tummy. Ernie performs best on a hard, flat surface and requires six AA batteries (included) to bring him to life. Laughter Is Contagious Each T.M.X. friend has its own unique actions. The T.M.X. Ernie features silly, leg-kicking gyrations followed by humorous phrases. This motorized doll is so soft, kids can pick it up, snuggle with it, then put it down and watch it wiggle. It only takes two tickles to send Ernie into hysterical laughter and kids soon find themselves giggling along. This doll has an incredible likeness to the actual Sesame Street character. Parents can add to the fun with T.M.X. Elmo or T.M.X. Cookie Monster, sold separately. Tickle Test During the tickle test, it became easy to see why the T.M.X. friends are in such demand. When kids tickle Ernie's belly, he falls backwards, then lies down and spins in a circle. True to character, he is full of fun phrases including, "I think I need a rubber ducky." Once the laughing spell is over, he even thanks the tickler, saying, "I really needed that." The doll moves best on a hard, flat surface and struggles a little when placed on carpet. But that was the only minor setback discovered during the hands-on testing process. Overall, T.M.X. Ernie makes a great toy for its target age range. Even adults will crack a smile as Ernie shakes and spins with laughter. What's in the Box Plush Ernie doll, 6 AA batteries

LAUGH Out Loud - Excellent Gift

My 3 year old son loves Ernie. He also has the greatest laugh in the world. So it was reasonable to assume he would love Tickle Me Ernie. Well he did and does and we all have a blast watching him tickle and tackle Ernie and laugh. He has gone into 10 minute laughing streaks and it just makes everyone else around here laugh too. It's very contagious.
He has had it for about 2 months and been pretty rough with it. There is no significant damage other than a frayed seam on one hand. Put into context that is really good considering he carries it on his tricycle (I've seen it drop out and get dragged too), up and down stairs and did I mention he likes to tackle Ernie and bear hug him while he's laughing.
We just purchased a second one as a birthday present for one of his pals. It has already met this friend's approval while visiting our house for playtime. I know this is a hit and highly recommend it for this age group.

| He has got to be the cutest little toy I have seen in sometime. I am not a big Elmo fan and have tried to really get my daughter into other Sesame Street characters. My daughter is younger then the recommended age but she still enjoys watching and laughing with him. |
A fun toy for all the family

| All the family have enjoyed this toy. However my 1 year old grandson had to get use to it. The rest of us (from my husband to my 3 year old grandson) have enjoyed watching Ernie. |

| Tickle Me Ernie was my 6-month old grandson's favorite Christmas gift! He watched it giggle and fall down over and over again and was clearly fascinated. His mother and father are also fans as they grew up watching Ernie on Sesame Street. This is a toy that I think will be a favorite for many years to come. |
