We got these puppets and the kids loved them!

We got 4 of the sesame street puppets for Christmas and grandkids just loved them. They are so soft and well made and the mouths can move so the kids had them talking up a storm. My son also teases and tickles the kids with them which gets my grandson going. My grandson won't part with his Elmo puppet (his favorite). I'd buy them again
A GREAT PUPPET!!!

I ordered Elmo and Cookie Monster for my grandson's first birthday. Definitely a low tech toy as you talk for it and operate it - allows for some creativity. The only problem is making the mouth move and operating the hands at the same time with one hand. William absolutely loved them - they are much larger than I expected and very soft and cuddly. He loves Sesame Street and wanted to give them many hugs and kisses. I uploaded a picture so you can see how big and cuddly Elmo is.

This puppet was a great addition to his toy box. It is well made and little kids love it when they see it...FYI don't pull it out of your diaper bag and try playing with it because a little girl may think it's hers and take it from you at a restaurant. The only down side of this puppet is that it's not really made for big handed people like Dads.
Good looking elmo puppet

Pros: quality of the material is good and Elmo's expression looks always fun/happy (at least the 1st unit we got in 2009; the 2nd unit we got in 2010 has a thicker neck and the nose is more roundish; the color of the 2nd unit is also more orangish).
Cons: It's hard to maneuver hands and mouth at the same time as it is, but I put rolled card paper inside the arms to harden them and make them easier to move.
The mouth structure is a hard plastic that is difficult to open/close, but I found that you can use one hand to move the arms and open the upper part of the mouth and another hand to hold the lower part of the mouth. With practice, it works.
The body of the puppet should be stuffed so Elmo would look more realistic when hands are in.
I guess it won't fit very large hands.
The 2nd unit we got has more stuffed head and softer mouth structure plastic.
Have fun.
